What Next for Le Mans Ultimate?

As we release our fifth major update and introduce the long-awaited features of driver swaps, teams, and custom liveries, it’s time to look ahead and talk about what’s next for Le Mans Ultimate.

The last release on 10th June made large technical changes to support the future of the title and we are already making several fixes thanks to your invaluable feedback and bug reports.

In a special community address, Motorsport Games and Studio 397 CEO Stephen Hood outlined the incredible journey we’ve taken together since the game launched in February 2024, and revealed a major milestone: Le Mans Ultimate will officially leave Early Access and launch its 1.0 full release on July 22, 2025. A Look Back at What We’ve Built

At launch, players were given access to the full 2023 Centenary season: 7 hypercars, the LMP2 Oreca 07, and 4 iconic GTEs across 7 classic WEC circuits. Since then, we’ve delivered:

  • 5 major updates

  • 10 significant patches

  • 24 hotfixes

The game has grown massively, now including the full 2024 WEC season, featuring 4 additional circuits, 3 more hypercars, and 7 LMGT3 entries. Notably, the BMW M Hybrid V8, McLaren 720S LMGT3, and Ford Mustang LMGT3 were all added free for all users.

With 11 tracks and 21 unique layouts now in-game, and with a stability level more than four times better than launch, we’re proud of how far we’ve come – and even prouder of the role you’ve played in helping shape the title.

Version 1.0 Arrives July 22 – With Two Spectacular Cars

The full release of Le Mans Ultimate will bring not just polish and performance upgrades, but also exciting new content. Two high-profile additions will debut in the 1.0 update:

Aston Martin Valkyrie

Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro – A dream car come to life. With its screaming 6.5L naturally aspirated V12, the Valkyrie delivers the raw, unforgettable drama of top-tier motorsport.

Mercedes AMG LMGT3 Evo – The legendary three-pointed star returning to Le Mans racing for the first time since 1999.

Both cars will be free for all players, and we’re also including all 2025 official liveries in the update at no cost. Consider it a thank-you for supporting us through the Early Access journey.

Looking Ahead – What Comes After 1.0?

We’re not stopping development with version 1.0 – in fact, we’re just getting started.

One of the most exciting new features in development is a single-player Career Mode, currently in early production. This immersive new mode will let players step into the shoes of an endurance driver, take on team roles, climb the ranks, and experience career-impacting choices based on race results. Driver swaps will also play a key role.

We’re aiming to release Career Mode in Q1 2026, and we’ll be sharing more details in the months ahead. Here are some pre-production images to look through:

And One More Thing…

You’ve told us that endurance racing isn’t just about Le Mans and the WEC – and we agree. We’re thrilled to confirm that the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) will be coming to Le Mans Ultimate in the future.

We’ll let the trailer do the talking…

Thank You

To everyone who played, streamed, raced, or gave feedback: thank you. We haven’t had big budgets or splashy campaigns, but what we have had is one of the most passionate and supportive sim racing communities in the world.

This isn’t the end of development, it’s the start of a new chapter.
