#4 Floyd Vanwall Racing Team
The iconic Vanwall name graced the 2023 FIA WEC season with the immortal dark green livery on a single Vanwall Vandervell 680. The naturally aspirated machine made one of the sweetest sounds at circuits around the world, and made a solid start to its racing career with eighth overall at the season opening Sebring round.
The car struggled for pace for the majority of the season and a few accidents dented progress. The lack of development budget meant it was always going to an uphill battle against the larger manufacturer entries. The car campaigned the whole season and managed three further finishes at the end of the season with 12th in Monza and Bahrain and 11th in Fuji.
The car will always be remembered fondly by fans, adding to the mystique of the golden Hypercar era and quite possibly the last privateer team to enter with its own car in the Hypercar era.
