17th July 2024

The Lamborghini Squadra Corse SC63 will make its worldwide virtual debut in Le Mans Ultimate, the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans next week (23rd July), with the sim racing community able to get behind the wheel of the Italian Hypercar for the first time in a PC-based game.

The Hypercar regulations have attracted the interest of automotive giants from around the world – creating a paddock of ingenuity and technological innovation – driving forward competition on track. The Lamborghini SC63 is one of the new breed of Hypercars, with the LMDh machine right at the forefront of the latest golden era of sports car racing.

Unveiled a little over a year ago at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the 3.8-litre, twin-turbo V8 Hypercar made its competitive on-track debut in the FIA WEC at the opening round in Qatar back in March, and fast forward to Le Mans the Italian team in their development season went toe-to-toe alongside Ferrari, BMW, Peugeot and Toyota in the biggest race of the season.

Now 12-months on, the Iron Lynx prepared machine will now go up against fellow automotive giants, this time virtually as the SC63 becomes the latest car to be added to the Le Mans Ultimate pitlane. The aggressive, yet beautiful design conjures up the emotion and flair of Italian passion and engineering, and the distinctive engine note, certainly makes the car stand out against its rivals.

The #63 black nosed car driven by Daniil Kvyat, Mirko Bortolotti and Edoardo Mortara in the FIA WEC and the #19 white nosed IMSA car which made a guest appearance at Le Mans piloted by Romain Grosjean, Andrea Caldarelli and Matteo Cairoli will both be available to players on Tuesday 23rd July as part of the 2024 Season Pass and Pack 1.

Before that, the sim racing community will be able to see the SC63 hit the track as part of the latest Le Mans Ultimate – Through the Fence test day on Monday 22nd July across the games’ social media channels – where throughout the day the community can see and hear the car ahead of its global release.
