15th April 2024

Le Mans Ultimate, the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans will be visiting hearts of the fan zones around Europe over the next three months – bringing the thrill of sim racing to motorsport fans in Italy, Belgium and France.

The Le Mans Ultimate roadshow will be presented by sim racing equipment manufacturer Thrustmaster and will provide race fans the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the latest Thrustmaster hardware and virtually experience the thrill of top level sports cars from the game, just metres away from some of the most famous race circuits in the world, with manufacturers such as BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Peugeot and Toyota all doing battle.

Organised in conjunction with the FIA WEC and Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the Le Mans Ultimate sim racing experience will feature 10 Playseat simulators and Thrustmaster headsets – creating a fully immersive experience for drivers to enjoy the PC-based game in a sim cockpit at Imola in April, Spa-Francorchamps in May and Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans in June.

As well as the experiencing the high-speed Hypercars such as the 2023 Le Mans winning Ferrari 499P, fans will also have the opportunity to purchase the game via Steam and talk to members of the Thrustmaster team about the latest hardware. Visitors will also be able to provide important Le Mans Ultimate feedback to the team who will be gathering information to help steer development whilst the game is in Early Access.

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest: “We are delighted to bring Le Mans Ultimate right into the heart of the FIA WEC paddocks around Europe. We have been working closely with our partners Studio 397 and Thrustmaster, as well as the teams and manufactures to bring the thrill of driving the latest Hypercars to sports car fans around the world, and we look forward to building that connection further with racegoers at Imola, Spa and Le Mans.”

Eric Mindjimba, Thrustmaster Esports International Manager: “ Building bridges between real and virtual racing is a long term approach we are carrying out at Thrustmaster. We are creating products with this objective as gamers seek devices for realistic and immersive experiences. Partnering with Le Mans Ultimate is totally matching this spirit for us and we are delighted to join forces with them for the benefits of all racing enthusiasts.

Stephen Hood, Motorsport Games and Studio 397 CEO: “Since the game’s launch in February, we’ve been deeply humbled by the community’s response during its Early Access phase. These events are a wonderful touch point, allowing our team to see and interact with people playing our game.
