The Le Mans Ultimate experience continues around the world with Thrustmaster
Following a successful three-event tour around Europe earlier in the season, the Le Mans Ultimate Simulator Experience, presented by Thrustmaster and the FIA World Endurance Championship will travel to two further destinations, with stop overs in America and Japan in the coming months.
The Le Mans Ultimate roadshow kicked off in Italy at Imola back in April, before a visit to Spa in Belgium in May and Le Mans for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. Well over 5,000 fans flocked to the European Activations, and now fans in America and Japan will be able to experience the thrill of Le Mans Ultimate during the FIA WEC race weekends.
The Simulator Experience which is free-to-play will continue in Austin, Texas alongside the Lone Star Le Mans round at the Circuit of the Americas at the end of this month (30th August – 1 September). Those race goers heading to the circuit will be in for a Le Mans Ultimate exclusive, as fans will be able to test Hypercars around the newly modelled COTA, which is due to make its appearance in the game later this year.
Following the US activation, the simulators will travel to Japan for the 6 Hours of Fuji weekend at Fuji Speedway – where Japanese fans will be able to set laps in cars such as the Toyota GR010, BMW M Hybrid V8 and Ferrari 499P on the fast and flowing Asian circuit.
The thrill of jumping behind the wheel will be heightened for everyone, as Thrustmaster will be demonstrating their latest products, including the entry-level T248 wheel or bespoke sim racing Direct Drive T818 – enabling the public to enjoy a fully immersive experience. The Thrustmaster team and Le Mans Ultimate staff also will be on hand to help visitors get the best out of the experience, as well as listening to your game feedback.
“We thoroughly enjoyed working with our partners, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, FIA World Endurance Championship and Thrustmaster to bring Le Mans Ultimate to fans around the world, declared Stephen Hood, CEO Studio 397. “Over 5,000 people have sampled the thrill of the latest Hyercars in Le Mans Ultimate, and I am delighted we are able to expand our European tour into a World tour!
“COTA and Fuji are two very different circuits in different parts of the world, and we pleased we can bring the game to those countries and into the heart of the race tracks during an FIA WEC weekend. What’s more, those heading to Austin will be in for an extra little treat as they will be the first to experience our version of COTA which will be coming to the game… very soon.”
