Porsche 911 RSR-19

The Porsche 911 RSR GTE-19 is one of the cars that gets the crowds around the world flocking to the circuits to catch a glimpse of the beautiful machine and to hear the sound of the spine-tingling flat-six engine note.

In 2018-19 Michael Christensen and Kévin Estre drove their way to the FIA WEC LMGTE Pro Championship, while Team Project 1 backed up the Porsche supremacy that season with the LMGTE Am title. The updated RSR-19 model followed and was a constant threat in the GTE championships over the years, with win after win being collected in both factory and privateer hands.

The last season of the GTE Championship saw several privateer teams representing the Stuttgart manufacturer’s hopes, including Proton Competition, Dempsey Racing, Project 1 and Iron Dames. One of the highlights of the year was the season-long battle between Ben Keating in the Corvette and Sarah Bovy in the Porsche as both drivers traded tenths of a second in the battle for pole position at every round.

On race day, Dempsey Proton Competition notched up the first win for the 911 in 2023 at Monza, while the Iron Dames finally raced to their first WEC win. An iconic moment in Bahrain, it was not only the first all-female team to win an FIA race, but also the last GTE win in the World Endurance Championship.
